Angel Cedillo

Angel Cedillo is a visual artist with specialties found in mostly dry materials with an affinity for both organic and digital drawing, printmaking, and sometimes sculpture. He has roots extending through international lines due to existing both in Mexico and US all his life as he was born in Laredo, TX, but living half of his life on the other side of the Rio Bravo (or Rio Grande in the US). His path towards the visual arts was paved mostly through his education at Vidal M. Trevino during high school thanks to mentors and professors like Poncho Santos, with multiple sculptures and similar installations of his high school work on exhibitions, which now are echoed in his recent work. Now a TAMIU college graduate with a Fine Arts bachelors degree, he aspires to express themes of time and the acceptance of it in his work using natural motifs of organic materials like flowers and bridging the human body to the ephemerality of both..
